Kim Thompson Weems

Kim Thompson Weems, age 55, of Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at home with her family at her side. She was born April 9, 1960 in Painesville, Ohio to Basil and Nora (nee Laird) Thompson. Kim loved to cook, bake and watch movies, especially those action and sci-fi titles that featured special effects. She was a free spirited hippie who enjoyed classic rock. She was also a devoted Cleveland sports fan. Kim loved her family - her grandkids added a special light to her life. She is survived by her spouse, Barry Weems of California; daughters, Danielle (Tim) Mills, Elizabeth Carle, Amanda Carle, Rebecca (Josh) Kerns, Alexandria Carle; son, Bradley Cochran; grandchildren, Maggie, Sean, Kenny, Madyson, Kaydance, Josie, Cooper, Peyton, Abbie, Spencer, Jack; brothers, Daniel (Annette) Thompson, Mike (Yuna) Thompson; sisters, Tammy Birch, Dana (Rocky) Pinkert; parents, Basil and Nora Thompson. Kim is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Rick Birch. Friends will be received 2 – 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio 44041 with a memorial service following at 4:00 p.m. Pastor Mike Rice of New Day Christian Church will be officiating.
