Elinor Fowler

N. Elinor Fowler, age 94, of LeRoy Township, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014. Born April 25, 1919 in Morgantown, WV, she was the daughter of Iva Jane (Hamilton) & Alva C. Harltey. She married Frank F. Fowler in Morgantown, WV on April 25, 1942.
Elinor was a retired teacher. She was a member of Thompson United Methodist Church from 1958 to 2003 where she served on the mission committees at the Local and District levels. For the last 10 years she has been involved as a member of the Damascus United Methodist Church. Elinor was also a member of United Methodist Women, Church Choir, Chorale at Copeland Oaks, Lake County Retired Teachers Association and participated on work teams to Henderson Settlement, Kenya and Senagel, West Africa.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Loren) Parker of Springfield, OH & Anne Elizabeth (John) Nash of Hartville, OH, sons, H. Kirk (Antonija) Fowler of Madison, OH. Frank H. (Elizabeth) Fowler of Rossland, BC, Kevin F. (Laura) Fowler of Rock Creek, OH; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Alice VanLier & Jeanne Krumm; brothers, Chester, Robert & Homer Hartley.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Thompson United Methodist Church, 6758 Madison Road, Thompson, Ohio, The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
