Robert A. Pinkney, age 65, of Madison passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 surrounded by loved ones at home. He was born on September 7, 1955 in Cleveland, OH, the son of Agnes (Perazzolo) and Howard Pinkney. Robert married Patricia Weiland on November 8, 1980 in Willowick OH.

Bob spent more than 40 years working in the Aerospace / Investment casting industry. He was a natural leader and a fantastic communicator. Bob didn’t have “co-workers”, so much as he had many, many friends – and ESPECIALLY friends that were as tight as any family – that just happened to share the same place of employment. He had a passion for golf and enjoyed coaching basketball and softball. Most of all, Bob (who was widely known as “Papa Bob”) loved floating with his grandkids in the pool and made the best waves. He loved his birds and trees and was often called the “Birdman of Madison”. He was a man of so many interests and passions who truly immersed himself in the things he loved. He even recently became an “ambassador” for Maker’s Mark where he has a bourbon barrel made in his name. Bob will forever be remembered for his ability to light up a room with his smile, conversation, and excellent taste in wine and music. Anybody blessed to have known Bob knows that he lived his life by the words he ended each conversation with, “Peace and Love”.

Bob leaves behind his wife, Patty of 40 years; children, Amber (Ryan) Yeager and Geoffrey (Jennifer) Pinkney; grandchildren, Lilah and Aubrey Yeager and Addison and Lucas Pinkney. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert T. Pinkney and his parents.

Friends will be received 12-1 pm Friday, June 18, 2021 at St. Cyprians Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Rd. in Perry with a Service immediately following at 1 pm officiated by Father George Kusy.
