Bob was one of the first people I met at PCC and he immediately began teaching me everything he knew. One silly memory was when I was new I asked “hey bob, where is the watering hole around here?” He promptly told me of a little place called Grumpies. He told me to meet up there after work. I lived with my parents still, but warned him I was fresh out of college and “knew how to drink”. Well within an hour of being there I was downing my 6th or 7th beer and couldn’t see straight. Bob just said “we’ll see you tomorrow at work peace and love”. I looked up and said wait a minute, I thought we were drinking tonight. He just said, “we did dude. You are a foundry guy now. We drink after work and are home for dinner and families” Me the “college drinker” used to going out until midnight had to call my mother to pick me up. Love ya forever Bob and peace and love to you.

Rob was my best friend on 330th street as young kids. Our most enduring memories involved epic ping-pong matches, golf at Sequoia and Vink's in Willoughby and watching "The Wild, Wild West" show on TV. Was also honored to have been a reader at his and Patty's wedding all those years ago. I'll think of you often my friend, especially when I hear "Smoke on the Water", our favorite song back then. Condolences to Patty and the family. Mike Raus
