Coach Martin was the kindest person I have ever met in my life. I told my children about him two nights ago not knowing of his passing. I referenced how he coached to save a program that would have failed and at points did it on his own dime!! I will always be truly grateful for him allowing me to follow my pursuit of tennis and being positive influence in my life. I only hope that more people give of themselves as he did and make such a difference. My thoughts will forever be with his family and friends.

Mary, Bernie and I are so sorry for your loss. I remember many days playing at John’s house on Doan Avenue, shooting hoops in the garage and playing whiffle ball in his back yard. God Bless you and your family.
