I had Mr. Martin for English when I was in school at Edgewood. He was a good teacher and a kind man. RIP Mr. Martin.
Mary, Bernie and I are so sorry for your loss. I remember many days playing at John’s house on Doan Avenue, shooting hoops in the garage and playing whiffle ball in his back yard. God Bless you and your family.
John you will be greatly missed!!! I don’t care if you were my only brother-in-law …… You were the best I could have ever ask for!!!! Love you so much I will forever miss you.
Coach Martin was the kindest person I have ever met in my life. I told my children about him two nights ago not knowing of his passing. I referenced how he coached to save a program that would have failed and at points did it on his own dime!! I will always be truly grateful for him allowing me to follow my pursuit of tennis and being positive influence in my life. I only hope that more people give of themselves as he did and make such a difference. My thoughts will forever be with his family and friends.
