Dorothy Kobus, age 83, of Perry, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 13, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of Albert and Eleanor (Jablonski) Stiehl. She married Eugene Kobus on August 13^th, 1960 in Pittsburgh.

Dorothy worked as a secretary for the Painesville Fire Department for over 20 years, and took great pride in her work. She had an amazing and sarcastic sense of humor, and loved to take trips to the casino. Her children and family were one of her greatest passions in life. She was also an active member of St. Cyprians Church.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Kobus; children, Christopher (Tammi Brown) Kobus, Steven (Carrie) Kobus, Kathryn (Bryan Keener) Garden, Geno (Cheryl) Kobus; brother, Albert Stiehl; grandchildren, Matthew, Ben, Samantha, Allyson, Michaela, Tyler, Miranda, Lexi, Alan and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Harrison, Mallory, Emma, Daniel and Claire.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Shirley McManus.

Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison.  Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at St. Cyprian Catholic Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Road in Perry.  Burial will immediately follow at Perry Cemetery.
