Yvonne M. Lawson

Yvonne M. Lawson age 78 of Geneva, passed away January 20, 2018 in Geneva. Yvonne was born on July 29, 1939 to Geneva (Brown) and Hoy Thayer in Webster Springs, WV. She is survived by her children, Rusty (Kelli) Brown, Doug (Debbie) Brown, Robyn (Terry) Poole, Gayle (John) Wills, Steven Brown, Craig Brown and Hollis Shea Carden; twenty-seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and brothers, Berlin Thayer and Jeffrey Thayer. Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Gregory. Yvonne enjoyed cooking, reading and watching old classic movies. She often looked for treasure in garage sales and thrift stores. An independent soul and a strong woman, she was a landlady who was her own handyman. Yvonne knew how to do everything, and she had a sassy spirit. She had no problem telling you what she thought about you or any topic. However, she was always there for you no matter the sass. She was loved by her family and will be greatly missed. Friends and family will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041 with a service immediately following at 4:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date in West Virginia.
