Xafrie Mae Fobes, age 85, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at Jefferson Healthcare. She was born April 5, 1931 in Unionville, Ohio to Hazel (Noyes) and Tracy Dodge. She married Dale Howard Fobes Jr. on July 24, 1951.
Xafrie worked as a waitress at Howard Johnson's in Geneva and as a bus driver for Geneva City Schools, retiring in 1996.
She is survived by son, Gerald (Josephine) Fobes of Jefferson; daughters, Linda (Robert) Gibbons of New Hampshire and Ronda Holland of Raleigh, NC; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and brother, Frank Dodge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; son Michael; her parents, sister, Betty Dodge; brothers, Bill, Bob, John, Russell, and Donald Dodge.
Friends will be received 10 to 11am on Saturday, July30, 2016 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio with a Funeral Service immediately following at 11am
Final Resting Place will be Alexander Harper Cemetery in Unionville, Ohio Friends may leave condolences online at www.behmfuneral.com

Sorry for this late message. We were gone for a week and just heard this news upon return on 7/30. I remember her happy laugh very clearly when visiting in Geneva years ago. I wish we all lived closer over the years. Thoughts from Marietta, Ohio
Mrs. Fobes you greeted me many mornings with a smile, as a child riding your bus. The 8-track player with Neil Diamond, The Police and many more playing in the background. The balance of safety and fun always at your forefront. Blessed to have these memories. Rest in Peace. Prayer of comfort to your family!
