It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wilma M. Layman on January 16, 2025 at the age of 100. Wilma passed peacefully at her home in Madison with family by her side. She was born on February 27, 1924 in Tunnelton West Virginia, the daughter of Norman and Della Mae Nethken.

She was proceeded in death by her husband of 62 years, Grant Layman; children, Joseph, Carl, Wilma (Rabbitts) and Thomas Layman; brothers, Winston, Howard, Joseph and Ernest; sisters, Frieda and Martha.She is survived by son, David (Diana), and daughter, Rebecca Buck; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, whom she all loved dearly.

Wilma knew and loved the lord Jesus Christ and was a member of the Faith Baptist church in Perry.

A service at Perry Faith Baptist Church will take place January 25 at 1pm. Burial will be a private service at Madison Memorial Cemetery. Many thanks to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
