William Allen Mayer Sr.

William Allen Mayer Sr. passed away at his home Friday, December 9th, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.  He was surrounded by his loving family. William was preceded in death by his father John Mayer, his mother Ellanor Orton, brother Timmy Mayer and brother Tommy Mayer.  He is survived by his wife Patty Mayer, and his three children William Allen Mayer Jr. (Beth), Michael Daniel Mayer (Brittanny) and Rachel Marie Mayer; his best friend Canyon (dog); his five grandchildren Joey, Mia, Graelyn, Aubrey and Everly; and his four siblings Jack (Jamie) Mayer, Jim (Carrie) Mayer, Kathleen (Neil) Weisenbach and Barbara Scull (Mike Iacono). William is a retired Air Force Veteran and spent 38 years in the automotive industry where he retired as a Collision Manager for Deacon’s Collision in Mayfield, Ohio. After living in Ohio for 62 years, he and his wife retired down south to Conway, SC.  In his free time, he loved to fish with his wife and golf with his three children. Friends can be received on Saturday, January 7th, at Behm Funeral Home at 26 River St. Madison, OH 44057 from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. A private funeral and burial will take place at a later date.
