Passed away peacefully Sunday, February 3, 2008 Homestead II Healthcare Center in Painesville, OHIO
Born February 27, 1921 in Geneva to Maybelle (Brainard) & Shadrach Ashley
Married Dora D. (Brotzman) Ashley on January 1, 1942
Memberships and Affiliations: Attended the Cleveland Institute of Art and was a sign painter and artist all his life. He also was a school bus driver and insurance salesman. He served honorably as a master sergeant in the United States Army during World War II, and was a member of American Legion Post 501 in Madison.
He is survived by
2 Daughters Ardythe Ashley of New York, NY, Debra A. (Frederick) Stevens of Vermilion, OH; Cousins, The Brotzman Family of North Madison and longtime companion, Katherine Naska
He was preceded in death by his parents,

Friends will be received 2-4 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2008 at The Behm Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Services will follow at 8:30 p.m. Rev. Randy Weaver of Chapel Methodist Church will be officiating.
