Wanda W. Cleversy, age 76, of Madison passed away Monday, April 7, 2014. Born March 3, 1938 in Lumberport, WV, she was the daughter of Roy O. & Beulah (Knight) Hutson. She married Arthur W. Cleversy Sr. on September 11, 1954 in Painesville.
Wanda retired from the General Motors Parma Plant in 2003. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed making embroidery items for her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Arthur Cleversy of Madison; daughters, Betsy (Dennis) Mull of Ft. Wayne, IN, Cheryl (James Sr.) Gyure of West Farmington, Tricia (Matthew) Taylor of Mountain Hope, AR; sons, Arthur (Delight) Cleversy Jr. of Wickliffe, Dana (Stephanie) Cleversy of Ashtabula, Craig Cleversy of Cleveland, Dennis (Mary) Cleversy of Jasper, AL, James (Barbara) Cleversy of Olmsted Falls; 27 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Tina (Rick) Bishop of Painesville; brothers, Walter "Bud" (Judy) Hutson of Smithfield, VA, Luther (Peggy) Hutson of Winston-Salem, NC, Don (Judy) Hutson of Perry, Larry (Linda) Hutson of Dayton, Clyde (Linda) Hutson of Mentor; sisters-in-law, Edith Raines of Cleveland, Caroline (Richard) Hauser of Painesville, Dolores Cleversy of Perry; brother-in-law, Everett Cleversy of Cleveland, TN. Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sylvia Turner; brother, Ronald Hutson; sisters-in-law, Alberta Wright, Marian Benyak, Yvonne Kidd and Virginia Ledford; brothers-in-law, Warren Jr. , Bruce, Richard and Raymond Cleversy; daughter-in-law, Sandra J. Cleversy.
Friends and family will be received 5-8 PM on Friday, April 11, 2014 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Perry Cemetery.
