Walter Sulkey

Walter Sulkey, age 75, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 13, 1948 to Peggy (Evans) and Jerome Sulkey. Walter was a proud veteran serving his country in Vietnam in the US Army. He went thru the Northridgeville school system in Ohio. He worked in maintenance and as a painter for various businesses. Walter was a private person, and enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling on TV. He truly loved his family and kept them all close in his heart. Walter is survived by his daughter, Gabrial (Danny) Laxton; grandchildren, Sarah (Zach) Hitterman, Jessica (Roger) Brown, Terry Laxton; great-grandchildren, Alyssia, Cecilia, Amaya, Everleigh, Melina, Milani; siblings, Sandra (Fred) Reeve, Jim (Darla) Sulkey, Michael (Emma) Sulkey, Anne (Chris) Kosco, Jeannie (Greg) Silva, Michelle (Tracy) Hill and many beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kristy Sulkey; brother, Bruce Sulkey and ex-wife and dear friend, Brenda “Jane” Sanders. A private family Celebration of Life is being observed.
