Mrs. Mullins moved to Ohio in 1949 and lived in Perry and Madison most of her life. In 1949 she married John Weaver and they were together until his death in 1990. In 1994 she married Oakie Mullins and they enjoyed their years together at their home in Florida until his death in 2007. At that time, Vonda returned to Ohio to be closer to her family. Vonda enjoyed talking about her many years of work at Kenny King’s and Neff Perkins. She could tell you what her starting salary was, what a good tip day was, and all about her job duties. Before she retired she worked as an aide at nursing homes in Madison and Painesville.
Mrs. Mullins is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Mary Ellen Weaver of Madison; her granddaughter, Katherine (Kevin) Russell of Akron and her much anticipated great-grandson Arthur Allen Russell due in January. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Emma Mast and Barb Mullins; and brothers-in-law, Abe Weaver and Stuart Lester along with many beloved nieces and nephews. Vonda also leaves behind her friend of many years Elmalene Gains and her treasured cat Tiger who was her constant companion these last few years.
Vonda was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, John Weaver and Oakie Mullins; sisters Dorothy Mullins, Grace Boersma, Irene Sullivan and Mabel Tanner; brothers Edward, Gerald and Gloah Underwood; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.

Are thoughts and prayers are with the family. So sad ,you are in are prayers, Pam&terry. Beck,
We had the privilege of meeting Vonda through Kevin and Katie. The occasions we shared with her were mostly holidays. Thanksgivings, in particular, were outstanding as she would share with us stories of her past. It was nice to hear her recollections of family times as we ate until we were miserable. She was a warm and genuine soul. Our sympathies to the family. Love, Scott and Jan.
