Vivian V. Whitford

Vivian V. Whitford, 95, of Kirtland, passed away, May 28, 2015, at home. She was born, December 27, 1919 in Napoleon Twp., MI, the daughter of the late, Dudley and Edna (Hornberger) Hall. She retired after 30 years from the Lake Co. Prosecutors office. Vivian was an avid reader, and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching old movies; she was the dictionary of the family always helping with terms and spelling. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children, and grandchildren. Vivian is survived by her son, Richard Hall Whitford; sisters, Frances Bass, Eleanor Brigham, and Marilyn (Dave) Renner; brother, Duane (Shirley) Hall; seven grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis H. Whitford; son, Gary Whitford; daughter, Karen Ashman; brother, William "Bill" Whitford; and her parents. A Celebration of Vivian's Life will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the family in care of the Behm Family Funeral Home.
