Services for Violet M. (Glauser) Warren, 83, of Perry, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Behm Family Funeral Homes, 26 River St., Madison. Mrs. Warren died December 22, 2009 at her home in Perry. Born March 20, 1926, in Painesville, Violet was a life-long resident of Madison and Perry. She graduated in 1947 from the Huron Road Hospital School of Nursing and became a member of the alumni association. She worked as a school nurse in Painesville Township for 18 years, and also as a nurse at Lake East Hospital. On February 12, 1949, she married the love of her life, Arthur Warren. Violet was actively involved in the Perry community as a member of the Perry Legion Auxiliary, the Perry Fire Belles, the Perry Historical Society, and Perry United Methodist Church. Additionally, she was an active participant in the Lake County Fair for more than 30 years. Survivors are her daughter, Barbara Herbel-Hendricks (Ed Hendricks) of Englewood, Colo.; son, Richard Warren (Cheryl Leovic & her sons, Daniel & Michael) of Perry; granddaughters, Emily Herbel & Katie Herbel, and Amy Warren; brother-in-law, Richard (Ida) Warren of Circleville; sister-in-law, Mary Warren of Perry; and long time friend and caregiver, Robin Thompson. She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur F. Warren; parents, Anna L. and Charles Glauser; brother-in-law Wayland S. Warren; and son-in-law, Chuck Herbel. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Keith Mostad of Perry United Methodist Church will officiate at services. Burial will be in Lane Road Cemetery in Perry.
