Vera L. Johnson

Vera L. Johnson, age 93, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013 at Cardinal Woods Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Madison, OH. She was born December 25, 1919 in Perry to Floy (Penhollow) & Mark B. Johnson. Vera worked at Lake East Hospital as ward secretary for over 28 years before retiring in 1989. Vera was a lifetime member of Perry Christian Church. She was an active member of Happy Hookers, the Perry Senior Citizens, and enjoyed babysitting. She is survived by her sisters, Neva Sims of Mentor, Avelda Weber of Rossford, Jessie Sabo of Perry, OH; brothers, Ben Johnson of Mentor, Charles Johnson of Perry, twin brother Vaughn Johnson of Perry and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Victor, Dale, and sister, Lois Kacur. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2013 at Perry Cemetery, 3840 Middle Ridge Road, Perry, OH. Pastor Janet Mers will be officiating.
