Vance W. Underwood

Vance W. "Chick" Underwood, age 74, of Painesville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2008 Heather Hill Hospital in Chardon. He was born March 26, 1934 in Wellsville, New York to Vieva (Heflin) & Guy Underwood and married Pearl Ruszkai on 8/1/1953 in Fairport Harbor, Ohio. He worked at Diamond Shamrock and the Painesville City Schools. He was a member of the Hungarian Reform Church in Fairport Harbor. Enjoyed camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by Wife, Pearl Underwood of Painesville; Sons, Kenneth (Evelyn) Underwood and David (Michele) Underwood both of Maryland; Sisters, Shirley Underwood and Shela (Daniel) Boyer of Madison; 3 Grandchildren, Zachary, Joshuea and Kristen; Niece, Carrie (Jeff) House 0f Mentor-On-The-Lake and nephew, Steve (Julia) Ruszkai, Jr. of Maine. He was preceded in death by his parents Friends will be received 7-9:00 p.m., Monday, July 7, 2008, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at the funeral home. Rev. Louis Medgyesi, of the Hungarian Reform Church, will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be in Fairview Cemetery, Madison.
