Vada P. Sanders

Vada P. Sanders, age 97, passed away on February 17, 2018 at her home in Madison. She was born on October 9, 1920 in Booneville, KY to Parrett (Payne) and John A. Abshear. On October 19, 1940, Vada married Tommie H. Sanders. Vada was a woman of faith and a member of the Bible Baptist Church. Whether it was the warm smell of baked goods in the oven, the sound of her voice and guitar when she sang, or the color of her flower gardens, she made the world a brighter place with everything she did. Most of all, Vada loved her family, and she loved them well. She is survived her son, Thomas J. Sanders; daughter, Lois Nuse; grandchildren, Barbara Brown, Robert Sanders, Brian Sanders, Dale Sanders, Tammy Harrigen, Cathy Sanders, Kim Sanders, David Bonness, Ernest Nuse, and Dean Nuse; 20 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Tommie; her sons, Robert and William Sanders; her parents; and her siblings, Herman Abshear, May Glenn, Estelle Elkins, Ila Judd, Elizabeth Judd, Laura Parker and Kathryn Dantin. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. A funeral service will be 12 noon on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Bible Baptist Church, 5819 West Chapel Road, Madison, OH 44057. Burial will be at Perry Cemetery.
