Thomas Earl MacKenzie

Thomas Earl MacKenzie, Age 76, of Geneva, passed away Friday, October 1, 2010 University Hospitals of Cleveland. Born June 16, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Rose (Shomogy) & Earl MacKenzie, he married Joan Bina. Thomas was an avid fisherman and loved spending his summers in Canada. He never missed a NASCAR race and had an active and curious mind, loving to keep up on and debate current events. Thomas was proud of the fact that he was always a hard worker who provided for his family, many times working two and more jobs at once. Among his various occupations were those of welder, bulldozer operator and 18-wheeler truck driver. He was most recently employed by Flying J. He was a good man and will be missed. He is survived by his Daughters, Karen & Katherine; sons, James & Thomas and brother, Douglas (Laura). He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; sons, Douglas & Michael and his parents. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, October 8, 2010 at Mechanicsville Cemetery, Austinburg, Township. Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Northeast Area, 10501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44106.
