Thomas E. Davis Jr.

Thomas E. Davis, Jr., age 71, resident of Geneva, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights. Tom was surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 29, 1942 in Uniontown, PA to Thomas Edgar Davis, Sr., and Sarah Jane Emery. Thomas married Katheryn Jacobs on October 10, 2010 in North Perry, OH. Tom was a supervisor at Uniroyal Chemical for many years, but his first love was fishing on Lake Erie for walleye and perch. He also enjoyed billiards and ran his own pool/billiards league. Other past-times include golf, model trains, making fishing poles and golf clubs, and restoring cars. He is survived by his wife, Kate Davis of Geneva; daughters, Kimberly (Mike) Prochaska, Trisha Viruet; son-in-laws, Scott Pirc and Mike (Kim) Morgan; daughter-in-law, Cyndi (Keith) Powell; granddaughters, Caitlin Grand, Alyssia Pirc, Tia and Zoey Viruet, Jennifer Derylak, and Jamie Morgan; grandsons, Joey Prochaska, Danny Derylak, and Brandon Powell; great- granddaughter, Tia; brothers, Robert (Jackie) Davis, James Davis, and Dave Davis; sister, Jayne (Tim) Sabo and many loved nieces, nephews and extended family. Tom was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Davis; daughter, Michelle Pirc; his parents and brother Bill Davis. Family and friends will be received to celebrate Tom's life from 1:00-3:00 PM, Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6345 Chapel Rd, Madison, OH 44057. A service will follow at 3:00 PM and Reverend Steve Fisher will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Tom's name to Trinity Lutheran Church, Adopt a Family Program, 6345 Chapel Rd., Madison, OH 44057.
