Theodore H. Drought

Theodore H. Drought, 94, passed away at home the morning of July 5, 2017. He was born to Archie and Muriel (Paskins) Drought on April 1, 1923. He married his love, Frances Cook in 1951.
Ted enlisted in the U.S. Navy and fought WWII in the South Pacific. He served as a submariner and electricians mate on the U.S.S. Bergall. When he came back home, Ted completed his education at Ohio Northern and began his career at Harvey Hubbell as an electrical engineer. An active member of the Geneva community, Ted served as Geneva City councilman, member of the Geneva Planning Commission, and Boy Scout leader. He was also a proud Mason for 62 years--Past Master Geneva Masonic Lodge #334, Royal Arch Masons Geneva Chapter #147, Royal and Select Masons Geneva Council #145, Commandry Knights Templar, and K.Y.C.H. Knight of the York Cross Honor. Among his many interests, Teds most serious business was playing bridge, and golf and cribbage.
Ted is survived by his daughter, Terry Schwentker; son, Doug Drought; sister-in-law Bev; and nieces and nephews. He joins his wife of 51 years, Frances; infant son; parents; and brothers Robert and Donald Drought.
Friends may call 4-7pm Sunday July 9, 2017 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway, Geneva OH 44041. Teds funeral service will be 11am Monday July 10, 2017 at the funeral home. His final resting place will be Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
