Thelma W. Hook, Age 82, Resident of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011 Geneva Village Retirement Community. Born June 6, 1928 in Winchester, Virginia to Kathleen Elsea (Kindle) & Hunter Epp Weakley, she married James D. Hook on August 2, 1947 She retired from First Energy and True Temper in Saybrook. Thelma enjoyed her work as a hospital volunteer and was a member of the Madison East End YMCA and the Women?s Group for CEI. She was also an active member of First United Methodist Church in Geneva where she served on the Alter Guild, Wesleyan Circle, and the Education Commission. She enjoyed her role as educator, teaching Sunday school and Bible School. She enjoyed bowling, reading and gardening and loved spending time with her Children, Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She is survived by Sons, Allen (Amy) Hook of Avon Lake, Tom (Pat) Hook of Geneva, Bruce (Kathy) Hook of Geneva, Steve (Karen) Hook of Boulder City, CO; Daughters, Carol (Greg) Butler of Geneva, Linda (Marshall) Steerman of Abilene, TX, Mary Boytz of Ashtabula, Nancy (Gary) Elles of Douglasville, GA; 16 Grandchildren; Numerous Great-Grandchildren; Sister , Evelyn Bly of Colorado & Many Nieces & Nephews She was preceded in death by husband, James D Hook; Grandson, Jason Boytz; Brother, Carlton Weakley; Sister, Pauline Farmer Weakley Friends will be received 5:00 ? 8:00pm on Friday, March 25, 2011, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Funeral Service will be 11:00am on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva. Final Resting Place will be at Trumbull Township Cemetery in Rock Creek. Contributions may be made to Geneva First United Methodist Church, 89 South Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041.
