Terry R. Roper

Terry R. Roper, age 73, of Madison, Ohio passed away, Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Cardinal Woods Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center. He was born September 27, 1943 in Painesville the son of the late Mary and Gene Roper. He married Jean M. Tripi in Painesville on September 24, 1966.
Terry was a 1962 Graduate of Madison High School and served in the United State Air Force from 1962 to 1966. He worked as a carpet installer for 28 years before working as a supervisor for many years at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant. He enjoyed working outside and traveling. Terry was a member of Geneva VFW Post #6846 and was an active at St. Anne's Anglican Church where he helped with the youth group and organizing the yearly Ox Roast. Terry was well known by his family and friends for his fun sense of humor and he truly appreciated a good laugh.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean M. Roper; daughters, Tina (Geoff) Black, Fran (Larry) Repko, Carla (Mark) Stevens; eight grandchildren, Kareen, Andy, Corey, Luke, Lawrence III "Bear," Kelsy, Taylor, and Emma; five great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Ava, A.J., Avner, and Brantley; two brothers, and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received: 5-8 p.m., Monday, February 6, 2017 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. A Funeral Service will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the funeral home. Rev. Kelly Irish will officiate. Final Resting Place will be Fairview Cemetery in Madison, Ohio

I am so sorry for your loss I know Terry will be missed by many. I will always remember all the fun we had when we went to Myrtle Beach and other places to. If you need anything I am hear to talk any time I Love you all.

I am So Sorry for your Loss. , I just found out about his passing just 5 minutes ago and will notify my Parents first thing in the Am. My God wrap his arms around the whole Family and Help y'all through these hard times.
Fran and family so sorry to hear of you dads passing ,i cut alot of carpet for your dad when he installed for my mom and dads business and he was always such a joy to work with ,he made me laugh when we were throwing rolls of carpet around.I miss not seeing you guys at the nuke but retirement been pretty good,hope things improve for you all good luck in 2017 .
