Tanya Remec

Tanya (Voleski) Remec, age 68 of Madison, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 in Mentor, Ohio after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. Tanya was born in Cleveland to Michael and Annette Voleski on March 19, 1946. She went to Lutheran East High School and graduated in 1964. She went on to earn a Nursing degree from Lutheran Hospital. She worked as a Director of Nursing for Stewart Lodge for many years. She had the greenest thumb around and could nurse the sickest plant, person, or animal back to good health. She was also actively involved in searching for beach glass, wearing tie dyed shirts, crocheting blankets, and making others laugh. Tanya is survived by her husband, Dale of Madison; daughters, Meg of Madison, Sarah (Ryan) Thomas of Grove City; grandson, Troy; granddaughter, Jordan; sister, Sandy (Don) Crites of Brecksville; brother, Bill (Nita) Voleski of Mentor and many other family and friends. Tanya was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mike. Friends will be received 10-11 AM, Thursday, August 21, 2014, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison, OH. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Reception to follow at Debonne Vineyards, 7840 Doty Rd., Madison, OH. Final resting place will be Fairview Cemetery in Madison. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Meg Ann Remec Special Needs Trust. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Kemper House of Mentor and the Hospice of the Western Reserve.
