Steven C. Sulzer, 71, of Perry passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on June 29, 2026. He was the beloved highschool sweetheart of Molly (Shannon) and recently celebrated their 50 year Wedding Anniversary of June 19, 2026.
Steve was a dedicated electrician of 50 years with the IBEW Local 673 and also a loyal member of the Knights of Columbus. Steve served the poor and homeless in Albuquerque, NM as a volunteer in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps for a year and then continued his love to serve the poor by volunteering at Project Hope for the Homeless. He was also a former volunteer for the Hospice of the Western Reserve providing respite care and visiting many patients at surrounding nursing homes bringing joy and love to the residents. He also enjoyed singing in the church choir. His favorite pastime was being an accomplished wood carver and found great joy in gifting his carvings to many friends and family.
Serving others in need, being a faithful follower of our Lord Jesus Christ, a devoted husband, loving father and friend was how he chose to live his life. He was a selfless man.
Steve endured Multiple Sclerosis for 45 years, the last 10 years confining him to a wheelchair. Though MS inflicted his body in many ways, his acceptance, positive attitude and perseverance never changed his attitude of living a joyful life.
Steve is survived by his wife, Molly; daughter, Bridget; sons, John and Michael. He is survived by sisters, Kathy Evans (Steve), Linda Mononen (Don), Julie Johnston (Rob), Angie Amato (Vince), Brenda Iammarino (Jim), Heidi Sulzer; brothers, Tom (Karyn) and Bill (Chery); many nieces/grandnieces and nephews/grandnephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Loretta and father August.
Anyone who was privileged to know Steve and call him a friend walked away a better person. May Steve be remembered for his kindness, love, compassion and great sense of humor.
He longed to hear the words of Jesus Christ calling him home, “Well done My good and faithful servant”.

I am so sorry to learn of Steve’s illness and passing. I remember him from grade school at St. Anselm along with Molly. They were two of the kindest Kids ever. Our paths never crossed once Molly and I graduated High School, but I heard of their marriage through the grape vine thinking what a perfect couple!
Seems Steve never changed from that wonderful young boy, I once knew!
May your memories be as Beautiful as they are Blessed!
Sincerely,
Kandy Malone Rawl
