Stephen Michael Burk, 57, of Madison passed away, February 15, 2017 at UH Geauga Medical Center. He was born March 24, 1959, in Painesville, the son of Stephen G. and Suzanne (Scott) Burk, and has been a lifelong area resident. Steve graduated from Madison High School class of 1977. He retired from Perfection in Madison after 20 years of service to the company. Steve was a Son of the American Legion at the J. Wilson Post #112 in Madison. Steve was an active member of the Legion Post #112, where he served as the Sons Commander and Vice processing all membership for years, he played "Santa" at Christmas, ran the lucky shoots, did small maintenance jobs, and was "always helping". Steve was also a member of the Perry Amvets #1971; and a life member of the Geneva Rod and Gun Club where he served as Vice President. Steve also enjoyed playing the button box and the accordion. He is survived by his parents Stephen and Suzanne of Madison; brother, Scott Burk; and his favorite niece and nephew, Sarah (Todd) Perry and Allan Burk. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 11 AM at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Legion Post #112, 6671 Middle Ridge Rd., Madison, Ohio 44057, or to the Harpersfield United Methodist Church, 224 Garford Rd., Geneva, Ohio 44041.
