Stephen F. Paine

Stephen F. Paine, 69, from Toledo, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 16, 2023, in Hospice Care through the Hospice of Northwestern Ohio at Arbors of Sylvania. He was born June 28, 1954, in Geneva Ohio, the son of C. Forrest and Anna Mae (Gawlikowski) Paine. Steve was a graduate of Geneva High School Class of 1972. He was proud veteran of the U. S. Air Force, he served as a F-106 flight simulator operator. He was a volunteer firefighter for Harpersfield Volunteer Fire Department, worked as a draftsman, a welder and was a long-haul trucker for many years. He moved from the northeastern Ohio area to Toledo where he spent the last years of his life.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents. He is survived by his two children, Julie (Brian) Williams, and Jason Paine; grandchildren Timothy, Robert, and Abbigale Williams; sister, Kim Brenkus; aunts Teresa Miller, Louise Leonard, Agnes Bonsor, Vivian Merrill; and nieces Courtney (Matt) Gage and Bethany (Mark) Hartung.
A graveside service will be held at Alexander Harper Memorial Cemetery in Harpersfield, Ohio at 11 am on November 4, 2023, and will be officiated by the Reverand Kimmy Farone of Perry United Methodist Church. A meal will follow at Perry United Methodist Church in Perry Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to The Hospice of Northwest Ohio at 3000 East River, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551, or your local pet shelter.

Kim, I am so sorry to read about Steve’s death. I have thought of him over the years and wondered where he was. We have known you both since you were babies and known Anna Mae and Forrey since school days, I am sending my sincere condolences, may he rest in peace.
