Stephanie Frances Istvanic, age 69, of Rock Creek, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Chardon Healthcare. She was born November 29, 1947 in Spittal, Austria to John and Frances (Zorman) Meglen. She married John Istvanic. Stephanie retired from Geauga County Child Services. She was a longtime member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Thompson. She was a life member of the Slovenian-Pristava in Geneva. Stephanie enjoyed seeing the shows by being a member of the Cleveland Playhouse and an annual ticket holder. She loved knitting, spending time at gatherings with friends and family, and watching her grandson Christopher play hockey. She is survived by her daughter Suzanna (Chris) Hocevar, grandson, Christopher, brother, Joe Meglen, sister, Mary (Lou) Ovnic, niece, Heidi (David) Peterson, nephew, Michael (Krista) Calhoon, grand-nieces and grand-nephew, Issy, Jake, and Miya. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, 594 West Main Street, Geneva, Ohio, with Rev. Father John Ettinger officiating. Friends will be received from 11 12:30 p.m. on Friday at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio.
