Shirley C. Tenney

Shirley C. Tenney, age 77, resident of Perry Ohio, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp. She was born on February 6, 1936 in Gassaway WV to Jerry (Furbee) and Edward Corkhill. She married Herbert L. Tenney on December 29, 1957 in Charleston WV. Shirley enjoyed crocheting and was a member of the Perry Crochet Club, through which many blankets were made and donated to children in need. She loved baking and baseball and a good Harlequin Romance novel. Shirley loved animals, and rescued many Pug dogs as well as cats. Shirley is survived by her husband, Herbert L. Tenney of Perry OH; son, Douglas L. Tenney of Williamsport PA; daughters, Geraldine A. Tenney of Madison, T. Jean (Angelo) Todaro of Englewood FL, Vicki L. Tenney of Perry, OH; grandchildren, Tonya Tenney of Lancaster PA, Gino and Mia Todaro both of Englewood FL. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Bobby Jo Corkhill. Friends will be received from 6 to 9:00 pm on Friday December 27, 2013, and 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday December 28, 2013 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm following visitation on Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Kalb of Painesville United Methodist Church. Final resting place will be at Perry Cemetery.
