Shirley A. Andersky, age 91 of Madison, Ohio passed away Friday, June 26, 2026 at Danbury of Mentor, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 30, 1934 in Tipp City, Ohio, the daughter of Laura Helen (McCandliss) and Harold Ford Baumgardner. Shirley married James “Jim” Andersky in East Cleveland on August 3, 1957.
She was a 50-year member of the Church of Epiphany. She came from a Masonic family and was a member of the Eastern Star. Shirley was a great homemaker and mother, who also worked part-time as a medical secretary to help support her children in their higher education endeavors. She also enjoyed collecting artwork – Robert Bateman being one of her favorites.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Frederick (Lillian) Andersky and Gregory (Laura) Andersky; grandchildren, Amanda (Gary), Nicholas, Angelo, Nolan (Joe) and Evan and her first great-grandchild, Emilia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; brothers Lawrence Winston and Gene Harold Baumgardner and her parents.

I’m truly sorry for your loss. Shirley was an angel on earth. Anytime I was having a bad day she knew how to cheer me up. I will always miss how she used to wink at me before leaving the pharmacy drive thru.
