Shirley A. Murray

Shirley A. Murray, age 89, of Willoughby, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at Fairmount Health Center. She was born July 17, 1932 in Erie, Pa., the daughter of Herbert Charles Heuer and Eva (Brozell) Heuer. She married William E. Murray in Erie, on June 24, 1955. Shirley graduated with honors at Lawrence Park High School in Lawrence Park, PA. She worked as a secretary for the Vice President of Personnel at Avery Dennison, retiring in February 1995. She was member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Brethren Church in Mentor. Shirley enjoyed working outdoors including planting flowers and making ceramics. She was an avid seamstress who would make clothes for her daughter and herself and do quilting projects. She is survived by her husband, William; daughter, Nadine Trenton; son, John E. Murray; grandchild, Heiden Trenton; sisters-in-law, Margie (Ben) Sulkowski, Donna Jarvis; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Herbert Heuer; and brother-in-law, Chick Jarvis. Friends will be received from 9 – 10AM Friday, May 6, at the Pilgrim Lutheran Brethren Church, 9514 Johnnycake Ridge Rd. Mentor, Ohio 44060.  Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 AM. Final Resting Place will be Laurel Hill Cemetery, in Millcreek Township, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Shirley’s name to Ohio Living Breckenridge Village Hospice, 36851 Ridge Road, Willoughby Ohio 44094 or the Youth Group of Pilgrim Lutheran Brethren Church, 9514 Johnnycake Ridge Rd.
