Scottie Conacher, age 82, of Harpersfield, OH, passed away November 12, 2013 at home. He was born in Dundee, Scotland on July 9, 1931 to Helena (Baxter) & John Conacher. He married Jane (Boomhower) on October 15, 1960 at Assumption Church in Geneva. Scottie was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. When he came home he worked for and later retired from Caterpillar as a line foreman. In retirement, Scottie kept busy working part-time at Goodwill. He was a member of the Geneva VFW Post 6846, the Geneva American Legion Post 75 and the Geneva Eagles Aerie 2243. Scottie was also a member of Assumption Catholic Church, where he was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. He was a dedicated family man and provider. He is survived by his wife, Jane Conacher; daughters, Helena & Molly Conacher; son, Matthew Conacher; grandchildren, Joseph Spikes, Christopher, Elizabeth, Kaityln and Hallie Conacher; great-granddaughter, Lylie Conacher; sister, Margaret Conacher of London; sister-in-law, Heather Conacher of Dundee, Scotland; and his 4-legged faithful companion, Crawford McKenzie Conacher. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Christopher, Jimmy, Sidney Conacher and sister, Pat Conacher. Friends will be received 5-8 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Assumption Catholic Church, 594 West Main Street, Geneva, OH 44041 with Rev. Fr. Melvin E. Rusnak officiating. Final resting place will be Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva.
