Sandra Garbutt, age 83, of Rock Creek, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Jefferson Healthcare. She was born February 23, 1939 in Cleveland the daughter of Ludwig and Eleanor (Welton) Pevec. On September 19, 1975, she married the love of her life, John Garbutt, Sr., in Wickliffe, Ohio. Sandra was a wonderful wife and mother who loved serving her delicious spaghetti and meatballs. She was a librarian who loved to read books and work on puzzles. Sandra also loved the Cleveland Indians and watched every game as well as her favorite game shows Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She also enjoyed spending time with family. She is survived by her children, Michael (Tammy) Pestello, Christopher Pestello, Laurie (Allan) Polasko, and John (Linda) Garbutt, Jr.; grandchildren, Kaitlin Pestello, Lindey (Shawn) Woodworth, Ted Polasko, and Maryella Polasko; great grandchildren, Preston Pestello and Emberlin Palmer; and brother, Jim Pevec. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter-in-law, Christine Pestello; and her parents. Friends and family are invited to a 1:30 pm Committal Service on March 28, 2022 at East Trumbull Cemetery. Behm Family Funeral Home is assisting the family at this time.
