My heart goes out to the family, i have been involved with you all for many years, you were like a grandma to me and i love you very much, you were always there for me, you sat with me through some good times and also some very bad times in my life, without you idk if i would have made it through those times, i love you so much, you will forever be in our hearts always and forever loved and missed <3
Being the first-born, Sandy paved the way for my journey. She was often disciplined for infractions for which I was allowed to escape punishment. We covered each other’s asses on more than one occasion, and tattled on each other on other occasions. We fought, teased and taunted each other, but she never turned away a scared little sister from sneaking into her bed at night. She was always a protector, first with me and then with her family. She was bossy, she was vocal, and she was one of the most loving people I have ever known. She was a mother hen, keeping her chicks close. She was always giving and not asking for anything in return.
She was married to the love of her life for two weeks shy of 49 years, raised three wonderful daughters, and was very happy. Her journey through this life was a complete success. She left us all too soon, but with no regrets. I envy her.
My heart hurts so much that she is not with us anymore, and I will miss her every day. I love you, Sandy.

I worked with Sandy at Quail Hollow. She was such an uplifting person and always had a smile.I enjoyed talking with her about our lives and when my Dad passed away she took the time to come to the funeral and help me through my sorrow. I will never forget that-and I pray her family can remember her beautiful life and somehow find peace.
