Sally Coe, age 87, of Madison, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at David Simpson Hospice House. She was born June 7, 1937 in Cleveland, the daughter of Edward and Arline (Jones) Scheuring. She married Leonard Coe on June 20, 1959.
Sally worked at Lake County National Bank and at Gail G. Grant department store in Painesville. She helped with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and encouraged the involvement of her 4 sons. She was a dedicated member of Thompson Church on the Square, and taught Sunday school there for 40 years, from 1955 to 1995. Sally baked for Stockers on the Park Restaurant and sold baked goods in front of her home. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and nature and most of all she enjoyed family gatherings.
She is survived by her sons, Jeff (Anne McCafferty) Coe, Chris (Dianne Mills) Coe, Scott Coe, and Dan (Kate Mickelson) Coe; grandchildren, Kristy Gallagher (Ed), Leah and Mara Coe, and Rowan and Hazel Coe; great-grandchildren, Edward and Marissa Gallagher.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Leonard Coe; her parents; brother, Timothy Scheuring; and sister, Lindy Hopkins.
Friends will be received from 4-7 pm, September 24, 2024 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am, September 25, 2024 at the Thompson Church on the Square, 6758 Madison Rd., Thompson. Final Resting Place will be Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson.

Such a kind, sweet woman. I got to know Sally while working at Cardinal Woods. She kept her room so pretty, always decorated for the holidays. You will be missed Sally!
