S. Jane Cryder (Miller), age 89 of Greenback, TN., passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Clover Hill Senior Living Facility. Born November 25, 1928 in Akeley, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Clara (Lindell) Venman. A long time Geneva resident, Jane graduated from Edinboro University and worked as a teacher at Spencer Elementary School. She was a member of Geneva First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and served on most committees. She was a former member of Progressive Literary. Jane served as a local coordinator of the Red Cross Bloodmobile. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of Ladies of the Club Quilting Club. She was also a former member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Literacy Volunteer and she volunteered at the Geneva Food Bank. Jane is survived by her son, Eric (Brenda) Miller, of Greenback, TN; daughter, Kristen Johnson, of Wayne, OH; Four grandchildren, Brianna Toney (Jonathan), Travis Johnson (Amy), Melissa Beck (Will) and Kelly Jones (Brandon) and 4 great grandchildren, Brielle, Kiara, Noah and Elijah; also, one stepdaughter, 3 stepsons and 13 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Miller; her parents; sister, Luella Fee, and her second husband, Dean Cryder. Friends will be received from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway in Geneva. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the funeral home. Rev. Todd Venman of Wiltsie Community Church in Russell, PA will officiate the service. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Geneva First United Methodist church Growth Foundation, 89 S. Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041, the Adult Literacy Program at the Geneva Public Library, 860 Sherman St. Geneva, OH 44041, or the Geneva Area Food Pantry, 505 West Main Street, Geneva, OH 44041.
