November 30, 1982 ~ July 2, 2023

Ryan Joseph Thomason, beloved son, partner, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend passed from this life on Monday, May 22, 2023, at the age of 40 as a result of an automobile accident. He is survived by his father Joseph Thomason; his mother Dawn Bechtel and stepfather Carl Bechtel; his sisters Jennifer Thomason, Elizabeth Thomason, and Kathleen Thomason; his life partner Jacqueline Jorgensen and her daughter Emily Roybal; his nephew Ronan Tadsen, and many more family and friends. Ryan was predeceased by his grandparents Antoinette Thomason, Raymond Thomason, and Elizabeth Blasel; his uncles Albert Thomason, James Thomason, Timothy Twining, and David Blasel; and his aunts Laurie Thomason and Kathleen Twining. Ryan spent his life in Geneva and loved to be outside and laugh. He was a hard worker who enjoyed fishing, four-wheeling, bonfires, and spending time in the garage with his dad. Ryan was shy and tended to keep to himself, but anyone who had the pleasure of getting to know him knows what an amazing and hilarious sense of humor he had. He always lightened the mood in any situation. He will be greatly missed by so many. At this time, no public services will be held. Ryan’s accident is still an open investigation and the Thomason family hopes someone will do the right thing and come forward with any information they might have to provide much needed peace and closure. Behm Family Funeral Home is assisting the family at this time. Online obituary and condolences may be viewed at www.behmfuneral.com
