Ruth "Ruthie" Connell

Ruth "Ruthie" Connell, age 83 passed away March 12, 2024 at home with her family by her side. She was born September 5, 1940 in Cleveland, Oh to Clifford and Anne (Dulka) Hansen. She married Joseph Connell on October 16, 1965 in Willoughby.
Ruth was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and Christ Child Society. She was also a 25 year member of the American Business Women’s Association. She enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, camping at Willowick Campers Club where they were members for 50 years. She also enjoyed crafts, making baskets and blankets with Christ Child Society and also enjoyed bocce, golf, traveling and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Joseph “Joe” Connell; daughter, Colleen (Jim) Duvall; son, John (Lori) Connell, daughter, Noreen Connell, son, Patrick (Christina) Connell; grandchildren, Danielle, Marissa, Tommy, Jake, Mason, Nicki, Jessica, Luke; brother, Richard (Nancy) Hansen and many great life long friends. She was preceded in death by brother, Robert Hansen; her parents; and stepmother Irene Hansen.
Friends will be received, 10 am to 11 am Friday, March 15, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road in Madison with a Mass Immediately following at 11 am. Contributions may be made in her name to Hospice of the Western Reserve, PO Box 72101, Cleveland, Ohio 44192.

So sorry to hear this news. We were friends forever and many fun vacations right out of high school. Played many card games and bowled together. She will be missed and prayers are with your family.
