Roy R. Breniser

Roy R. Breniser, Jr., age 72 of Perry, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake. He was born November 18, 1951 in Painesville, the son of the late Roy Breniser, Sr. and Ethel (Petrus) Breniser. He married Debbie Korth in Perry on August 16, 1986. Grandma Kate Petrus and family owned and operated the Antioch Inn (now Sammy K’s) for many years where Roy worked after he graduated from Perry High School, Class of 1971. He also was involved his entire life in the family nursery business and he worked alongside his brother Doug managing Resthaven Azalea Farm and later maintained their various other properties. Roy, Deb, The Bread Lady”, and Doug owned and operated the produce stand next to Sammy K’s on Route 20. He also loved fishing and shooting pool. Roy is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; brothers, Michael (Brenda) Breniser and Douglas Breniser. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Graveside Service will take place Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Perry Cemetery on Center Road in Perry. A Celebration of Roy’s Life will immediately follow, 11:30 am to 2:30 pm at Sammy K’s Restaurant and Lounge, 4706 North Ridge Road in Perry.
