Roy Glenn Winfield

Roy Glenn Winfield, Age 79 of Madison passed away on Sunday July 16, 2017 in Madison. Roy was born in Painesville, Ohio on June 18, 1938 to George and Evelyn (Hoffacker) Winfield. Roy was a 1956 graduate of Madison High School. He attended College at Ohio State University and Edinborough where he received his masters degree in education. Roy married Nancy (Thompson) Winfield. He taught at Madison High School for 30 years and also taught part time at Lakeland Community College. Roy was a member of the Church of the Blessed Hope in Unionville. He was an avid stamp and coin collector, enjoyed gardening but most importantly he loved his family and took devoted care of Nancy His wife. Roy is survived by his wife Nancy; sons Michael (Laura) Winfield of Chardon, Eric (Ronnie) Winfield of Mentor; grandchildren, Emily and Morgan Geisheimer, Cody and Alec Winfield and great grandchild Landen Scowery. Family and friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. There will be a graveside service at 11:00am on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Alexander Harper Memorial Cemetery in Unionville. After the graveside service, there will also be a gathering of family and friends at the Church of the Blessed Hope in Unionville.
