Ronnie V. Gersin

Ronnie V. Gersin, age 76, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015, at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, Pennsylvania.
He was born September 6, 1938 in Euclid, Ohio the son of the late Elizabeth (nee Turk) and Anton Gersin. Ronnie married Mary Kay Carraher on February 4, 1967 in Geneva, Ohio. Ron was a US Army Veteran serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Ronnie was a carpenter who owned Ron Gersin Construction, serving many people in Ashtabula and Lake Counties over the years. He was a true tradesman who enjoyed working with his hands. Ronnie was a member of the Kiwanis Club and Eagles FOE in Geneva. He was an avid gun and car collector.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Mary Kay; daughter, DeAnne M. Aussem and her life partner, Jodie Davies of California and their children Lochlan and Kenzi Aussem, daughter, Erin Toth and her husband, Joe Toth of Geneva and their children, Logan and Bella Toth; sisters, Virginia Harmon of California and, Marianne Hrisko of Ashtabula; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother David Gersin.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison, Ohio. Fr. Sean Donnelly will be officiating. Inurnment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, in Geneva at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours will be held at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2015.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions in Ronnie's name be made to the American Heart Association, 1689 East 115th Street, Cleveland, OH 44106-3903 or the Wounded Warrior Project, National Processing Center, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
