Ronald S. Dean, age 81, of Jefferson, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born September 6, 1942, the son of Forrest and Treva (Barner) Dean. Ron worked as a truck driver for over 30 years and was a member of the Teamsters Local 407. He was very proud of his safe driving awards. In his youth he was a talented baseball player and was Little League baseball coach in South Euclid. He enjoyed bowling, and he loved the outdoors, fishing, landscaping and gardening. He also served for a time as the Zoning Inspector in New Lyme. In 2012, Ron and his wife Marlene celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows at a little white chapel in Gatlinburg Tennessee. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marlene; daughter, Michelle Dean; sons, Vince (Traci) Dean, Matt (Erin) Dean; grandchildren, Joe, Keleigh, Lucas, Emily; great grandchildren, Cheyanne, Aaden, Noah, Kirra, Cameron, Chloe, Julian and Hudson; his furry buddies, Gidget and Daisy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Treva Dean; grandparents, Helen and Bill Barner; uncle, Bill Barner. Friends and family will be received 5-8 pm Wednesday, July 10th at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway St., Geneva. A Funeral Service will be held 11 am Thursday, July 11th at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Brownville Cemetery in New Lyme.     Jennifer and I remember the last visit we had with you and Ron. It was in Dallas with Nita and Paul right before we moved to Germany in the summer of 2008. I have many fond memories of him and all of you at many family gatherings when I was growing up.   4. Marlene. We just heard about Ron. Brian Hall just told us. I’ve asked many times if anyone has heard about Ron. We drive by your house and used to see him mowing. We haven’t seen him in a long time. I’ve asked people several times if they have heard from him. Brian Hall told us that he passed. Bob and I are so sorry. Praying for you and the family. 🙏
