Ronald "Ronnie" Wright Jr.

Ronald “Ronnie” Wright, Jr., age 72, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away August 27, 2026. He was born July 27, 1954 in Geneva, Ohio to Lindie (Burkholder) and Ronald Wright Sr. Ronald married Nona Wineberg in Geneva Ohio on September 9, 1972.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nona; children, Stephanie (Kenneth)Tinner, Angela (Jason) Palmer, Danielle (Russell) Nelson; grandchildren Kaleb, Joseph, Kaden (Ella), Joshua, Seth, Jacob, Jeenah, Andrew, Benjamin; Mother, Lindie Wright; siblings Rory (Jannette) Wright, Robin (Joseph) Toomey, Randall (Deborah) Wright, Ryan (Stephanie) Wright. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Wright, Sr.

He was a man who could make something out of almost anything. An exceptionally talented welder, he had an incredible ability to look at something ordinary and see what it could become. He was innovative, creative, and always thought outside the box. He especially loved working on old cars, a passion he shared with his grandson Joseph, with whom he spent countless hours working on his beloved panel van. Those moments were about more than cars-they were memories and a bond that will be cherished forever.

Above all, he loved his family. He treasured his wife of 54 years and was devoted to his children, grandchildren, and the time they spent together. He could hardly wait for the next family gathering, and when it was over, he was always sad to see everyone leave. Family was at the heart of his life.

He also was a wonderful listener. He had a way of making people feel heard and he loved telling funny stories that reflected his unique way of seeing the world. He looked at life differently, often from a perspective others hadn’t considered, and he wasn’t’ afraid to think outside the box. He had an answer for almost everything-and, as his family will fondly remember, he always seemed to have the last word.

His faith was an important part of who he was. It carried him through his life and gave him a deep appreciation for the life he had been given. He was strong yet sensitive; he rarely complained and believed strongly in truth and knowledge. He had little patience for people who took advantage of others and was never afraid to stand up for what he believed was right.

He also has a simple way of showing people he cared. He might randomly stop by just to see how someone was doing, never needing a special reason or occasion. That was who he was-he cared about people and made sure they knew.

His kindness, humor, wisdom, creativity, strength, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed. The memories he created and the lives he touched will remain a part of those who loved him forever.

Friends will be received from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Peoples Church, 300 S. Ridge Rd. East, Geneva, OH 44041, with a funeral service following at 11:00 AM. Final Resting Place will be Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva.
