Roland "Snuffy" Smith

Roland “Snuffy” Smith, age 83, of Geneva, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at UH Geauga Medical Center. He was born May 14, 1935 in Pierpont, Ohio to Chester and Gwendolyn (Phillips) Smith. He married Jane Smith on September 2, 1977 in Painesville. Roland was a member of the Assumption Church and was a man of his word. As a member of Pipefitters local union 120, he was dedicated and took great pride in his trade. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to be on the lake. He is survived by wife, Jane of 41 years; Children Phillip Christopher, Kim (Robert) DiRocco, Candice (Kevin) Vargo, Debbie Sneddon, Angela Dial; several grandchildren; sisters Donna McKinney, Ila Post, Jean (Glade) Johnson, Linda Gilligan and Marilyn Carr. He was preceded in death by daughter, Pamela Renee Smith-Hester; grandson, Michael Sneddon; his parents; brother, Harold Smith and his sisters Pat Post and Brenda Richmond. Funeral Service will be 11 am Friday December 21, 2018 at the Assumption Church 594 W Main St, Geneva. Final Resting place will be Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
