Roland Prehn

Death is a time for celebration! It?s a time to celebrate the life of our dear loved one and the memories we shared together. Roland ?Bud? Prehn, age 84, resident of Madison, passed away, Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Rae Ann Nursing Facility in Geneva. He was born August 29, 1926 in Thompson to Ralph H. and Bettie(Wolfe) Prehn. He married Betty J. Barney on December 14, 1991 in Thompson. Bud is survived by his Wife, Betty of Madison; Son, Clifford (Paula) Prehn of Geneva; Daughter, Karen (Mary Lorenz) Ford of Seattle, Washington; Son, Dale (Rebecca) Prehn of Las Vegas, Nevada; Step Daughters, Cindy (Michael) Torok of Madison and Charlotte (Elmer) Gibson of Kingsport, TN; Step Sons, Brad (Shelia) Constable of Loganville, GA and Danny (Pat) Constable of Lawrenceville, GA as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his Sister, Carolyn McGuire of Williston, FL. He was preceded in death by his first wife Norma who passed away in 1990; Son Douglas; his Parents; Brothers, Louis, Ernest, and Donald; Sisters, Nina and Charlotte. Bud served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post 112. He was also a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and the Eagles in Geneva. Bud enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and always enjoyed time spent with family and friends and telling stories from the past. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 pm on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at The Behm Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 26 River St, Madison, OH 44057. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am on Monday, June 13, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor Don McCauley of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Mentor officiating the service. Final Resting Place will be at Madison Memorial Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.
