Robert Reed

Robert “Bob” Reed, age 84, of Austinburg, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022. He was born February 14, 1938 in Cleveland the son of George and Emma (Cattani) Reed. Robert started his career working for New York Central Railroad, then later worked for Republic Steel as a Lab Analyst and eventually retired from CEI. He was an avid skier both snow skiing and water skiing, had a passion for the outdoors, and in his younger years he loved hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed spending time boating with his family. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; son, Scott (Kelly) Reed and their children, Daniel and Michaela; daughter, Robin Knoefel and her children Taylor, Hannah and Paige; and their great grandchildren, Maya, Brooks, Cole and Evelyn. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joan Carol Kiplinger and infant daughter, Carol Ann. Friends and family will be received from 6-8 pm on Thursday, December, 15, 2022 at The Behm Family Funeral Home 26 River Street in Madison. A Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, December 16, 2022 at New Lyme Baptist Church 1280 Dodgeville Rd, Jefferson, OH 44047.
