Robert M Karney

Robert M. Karney, age 82, of Rock Creek, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born May 16, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio to Leona (Morris) & Thomas Karney and married Frances Holdren on May 6, 1950 in Cleveland. He was a graduate of Collinwood High School where he ran state track and participated in most sports. Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, stationed in Korea as a sergeant in a field hospital. He was a hardworking man who supported his family and retired as a machinist from National Acme. He loved watching pro wrestling. He is survived by his wife, Frances Karney; son, Robert (Kathy) Karney; grandchildren, Amber & Bobby Karney; great-granddaughter, Natalie. He was preceded in death by his parents; cherished step-father, Clayton Becker and his brother, Tom Karney. Friends will be received 11 AM – 12 noon on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio.
