Robert M. Beno

Robert M. Beno, age 81, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Geneva Medical Center after a 6 month battle. He was born July 4, 1937 in Painesville, the son of Helen (Kovach) and Michael Beno. He married Jean Wakkila in Fairport Harbor on October 23, 1971. Robert retired from Lubrizol in 1996 after 30 years in Maintenance. He attended Immaculate Conception Church in Madison. He was a member of the Painesville Elks, the Hungarian Culture Club and he enjoyed the time spent with his friends in the LZ Retirement Club. Robert especially enjoyed golfing, watching college football, and gardening. He also loved the peaceful time spent with his wife Jean in the back garage or relaxing on the swing made by his father. He is survived by his wife, Jean; daughter, Celeste (Dillard) Frisby; granddaughter, Crystal Beno; sister, Margaret Curry; niece, Cheryl (Skip) Kennedy; and nephew, Thomas (Maribeth) Curry. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Christine Watts who passed away on March 19, 2018; and brother in law: Tom Curry. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. Friends and family will be received for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
