Robert J. Petersen

Robert J. Petersen, age 58, a resident of Madison, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center in Geneva, Ohio. Born March 6, 1949 in Clairton, Pennsylvania to Gertrude (Gall) & James L. Petersen, he married Ricki Jean Sharp in Madison, Ohio, in 1978. An Industrial Arts Teacher at Madison High School he retired in 2006. He was active in Boy Scouts as a Troup Leader and then committeeman for Troup 55 for many years. He enjoyed bicycling, woodworking, hiking, camping, and fishing, and he coached girls? and boys? high school basketball at Madison High School. He is survived by his wife Ricki Petersen of Madison, daughter Kelly of Madison, son Marc of Madison, his mother Gertrude Petersen of Clairton, PA, sister Jean Voelkel of Clairton, PA, brothers Greg Petersen of Clairton, PA, James Petersen of Bethel Park, PA, niece Catherine Petersen, nephew Patrick Voelkel and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 Friday, June 1, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison, Ohio. Final Resting Place will be at Fairview Cemetery, Madison, Ohio.
